|Summer is coming and so is the 2014 Kiwanis Kids Fun Run! The annual Wilsonville Kiwanis Kids Fun Run brings together an estimated 1,500 kids and parents to have fun, promote physical fitness, and to raise money to improve the lives of local children. This community event is for children and teens up to the 8th grade, and promotes healthy habits and fun competition.
Thanks to the City of Wilsonville, registration is FREE, and each child or teen that participates gets a free t-shirt and medal, as well as free healthy lunch provided by our local Albertsons. There are also booths with fun activities and health screenings.
All net proceeds from the Kiwanis Kid’s Fun Run are used by the Wilsonville Kiwanis Club’s Outreach Program to provide grants and financial assistance to benefit children in Wilsonville, Oregon. Over the past 7 years, the Fun Run has raised over $50,000 to fund scholarships, youth activities, and programming, including Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Wilsonville.
